Service improvement from our student studying BA Children, Young People and Families!

A pioneering new youth club for deaf children- believed to be the first in Rotherham- has opened it’s doors. Here it made the local news where the reporter spoke to Annie Cuckson who explained that her personal experience and role as chairperson for Rotherham Deaf Connections led to the development of the idea. The aim of the group is to promote and address common problems young deaf people experience such as isolation, loneliness, lack of self identity, low confidence and low self esteem.

Well done Annie!
